Howdy folks,

So, my son want to build his pc into a better gaming platform.  One of his requests is to have a Nvidia 1070 gpu.  Now, that would be easy if there were only one choice.    Could you make a recommendation for me to consider?  This will fit in an ATX mid tower (rosewill challenger).  He want to overclock his system to be able to play Star Citizen.  I really don't care if the GPU card has flashy lights or is black, silver, or pink.  Isn't it in a box anyways?  lol

Thanks for your help!

Depend how much money want to spend, my recommendation is EVGA GTX1080 Hybrid Gaming for 459$.

Special if he want to overclock Hybrid is far cooler than any dual or triple cooler card and she is only 20$ more than Founders Edition.
If he want to spend more for 489$ is available EVGA GTX1070 FTW Hybrid Gaming.
Who can't pay over 380-390$ EVGA GTX1070 Gaming is OK for stock clock and little overclocking, she cost 399$.
That mean Hybrid cooler cost only 60$ if you buy together not separate. Only Hybrid cost 119$ but cards are much cooler.
That's not important only for overclocking, even for gaming cards behave different and when temp is below 60C and Hybrid is more silent than other coolers if you use some of better 120mm fans. CORSAIR ML120 example or similar.

I have a challenger that I bought 3-4 years ago so not sure if it's the same but if so then measure the space for the gpu. Mine has less than 11" and had to cut out a piece of the metal to fit a G1 970 that has 3 fans.

Computer A: 2500k, 16GB ddr3 2133, 7870 xt
Computer B: 2500k , 8GB ddr3 2133, GTX 970
2017 Wish list: Predator Z35 and GTX 1080 Ti

Yes EVGA GTX1070 Founders Edition is great, but for same money could buy Hybrid model.
Same on EVGA site and Newegg Free Watchdog 2.

Excellent but expensive option is Founders Edition + Hybrid.
I know that many people like Founders Edition... And GTX1080 FE attract and me.
She have excellent customer rating, that mean people are happy with their EVGA 1070 FE.
Only one complain on 50+ reports.

Sajin, you bought NVIDIA 2x TITAN Pascal.... I saw in MODS RIGs.
You didn't resist waiting full chip.
WOW... damn I can dream about them...That;s not fair.
Are you satisfied, how they work? JayZ say work better than he expected in SLI.

Very satisfied. I got them for $600 a pop.

2-way titan x pascal = 4x maxwell titan x's.
