Installing Thermal Pads

I just order my thermal pads for my GTX 1070 FTW. I just wanna know if I take it apart and say something goes wrong while taking apart the GPU will EVGA send me a new card with the Thermal pads install? I doubt anything will happen with or without the pads or installing them I just wanna be safe ..

I rather just do the return policy with Amazon because I can keep my card till the new one gets here swap them out and send the old one back. Does anyone know when the new ones with thermal pads will be in stock?..

The 08G-P4-5173-KR is not listed as compatible with the 400-HY-5188-B1. Is this an oversight or does this card have something different in the layout from a standard 1070 card?..
