GTX 1070 FTW - Master/Slave, Power Limit and OC Questions ~

Will i still need update vbios if i install thermal pads?

I requested thermal pads for my 1080 ftw. I will install them when they arrive, do I need to install vbios as well? Or it won't be necessary? I have more aggressive fan curve already with my afterburner...
