i just found out the hard way that updating a GPU driver while folding wipes all the progress to zero.
my file was apparently at 97% and now it is starting over.  :-(
note to self ... check progress before updating.
i guess it would be best to click finish and stop then update it

All you need to do is pause the WU when updating drivers. Has always worked for me although finishing the WU is probably the safest

If your only folding on one GPU finish the work unit then update the driver. If your folding on more than one GPU shut down folding and exit FAHControle update drivers reboot then start folding again. Never lost a work unit doing it that way but will loose a few points on the current work units. You will loose a lot more waiting for the work units to finish due to having to wait so long as one will always finish first then your setting with one card not folding at all.

You should be able to move up through the ranks fairly easily from there. You'll find the going gets a lot tougher when you reach the top 300 folders. That where I got bogged down.
