hould of posted it with the GTX 580 man not the 9800GTX.. we all know it has the 9800GTX, but show it with the GTX 580, that is what your specs say, so show it, don't feel ashamed to hide it

This is what we want to see:

Not some Copy+Paste from your previous topic, but yeah not bad for the rest

Yeah if you like all that red it does do something indeed

Although I'm more of a 2CPU guy, here some pics of my home bred supercomputer named Firefox SMP 2011, as I have made some more progress on it, still a long way to go though, but it's getting there.

That GTX 480 + Backplate is at the least something that lead this project to some progress, on March 15th I will have more parts added and the PSU equiped also, so stay tuned

AMD just launched their new Opteron 6180 SE CPU's these are 2500Mhz 12 core Mangy Cours CPU's, which I do plan on taking a pair of for this system, two of these will do about 65.000 PPD with Folding @ Home the GTX 480 will do about 17.500 PPD, just to  give you an idea of it's capabillities. It also supports the new 16 Core Opteron 6200 series, although these have not been launched yet, and the prices are still unknown, but I will keep these as a backhand plan, since evn if theyr would run 2200Mhz , this system will be alot more powerful with 32x 2200mhz than 24x 2500mhz, and yet being Bulldozer 16 Core'ed dies they also have extra instructionsets and a larger L2 and L3 cache also making them much more usfull with massive SMP based apps.

So it all depends on the price of these new 2500Mhz 12 cores and upcoming 16 Core Opty's. Ram wise is still planned to be 16x 4GB or 18x 8GB DDR3-1333 or 1600 ECC Reg, also depends on what the Bulldozer Bios will support ram wise, it's also possible that DDR3-1867 ECC Reg will be supproted, but that also depends on pricing compared to DDR3-1333 and 1600 ECC Reg, even that it's a project that may take me a year, I just want to be sure about what to do after I saved up til the years end to ttake on the CPU's and Ram, with such a project it's better to be sure on what the system supports before taking something out of the wild without having a clue if it it will even be supported.

I will keep this project up todate as it evloves

Here's mine.

PC-A17B

A couple years old, but still a great case.  Thinking of switching components in the case to another and starting a new SB build in it.  Or. . . Find a another one I like :D  I'm pretty big on wire management . . .

How it sits now.  Pretty dusty. . . Full time student and I work part time also, so I haven't been gaming much . . . Not like I can game with this outdated PC though lol.  Looking to build a new rig once the wallet allows it :)

Yeah nice midi cases they are, PC-A17B's :) PSU also placed in the top, is which I'd still prefer over all them new cases that they are in the bottom, dunno just looks more obvious to place it in the top, since all your power connectors on the mobo are always paced in the top area of the motherboard, this way lesser length of power cords are needed from PSU to powerpoints, to me it's a more obvious way of cabling to work from top to bottom and not from bottom to top lol.

Yeah you cable management is very clean, I am like thatas well, when having a window youwant tosee your hardware and not a a mixture of cables, Lian Li cases allow you to cable manage things very neatly, it's what I like about them, they layout always passed my systems, before Lian Li I used Addtronics Server towers, they have similar layouts, Istill have my Addtronics cases the 6896A Entry Level Server Tower aka High Tower and the 7896A Server Tower

The Lian Li Tyr PC-X2000B is something of a different sort, but it does have the ideal tripple heat zone feature, also ideal for that type of system which will engulf it's innerts

I wonder if there are any people that used the Lian Li PC-888? The one that has the look of Burj Al Arab 7 Star Hotel:

Update Minor adjustments. By adding new blocks into RAM, it is EK-RAM Dominator - Nickel.
Modify, and then by removing the stainless steel plate to cover the new:D

I picked up another Lian Li :)  It's a little different, But that's what I like about it.  Airflow seems to be good.  I'll find out once I build it!

Lian Li v1200+ II

This is my first time doing water cooling so the tubes are cut a little long.  Going to add another 580 for SLI and try to add another loop for the GPUs this summer.  Should be fun trying to fit everything in there...
