Hyundai is looking into this situation as they do not install video cameras in their Sonata FX and have never had another incident.

Quick get rich scheme I don't know, sure as heck isn't going to be "Quick" quick is robbing a bank. I doubt it is. I was going to reply to your comment on youtube but meh. Anyway, not all people know to throw it in neutral (I honestly DID NOT until I watched other video's off of that one, and before you point and laugh, i've only been driving for 2 years and i'm 32), or slam on the brakes that fast (this I would try, but I don't think most brakes would actually stop a car, ebrake I think would be a no no...). Some people also just don't problem solve, they simply panic and that's all they know. Camera though is odd, but not uncommon honestly. I have seen a few around here, and even I was thinking of getting one a while back so as to watch all the fools in front of me incase something were to happen. It would help to know the language too, someone could tell if there is true panic in the voices are the way they are talking, to me there doesn't seem to be much, i'm sorry but i'd be screamin like a girl a bit :P

Turn the car off.... or drive a manual. Breaks wont hold the car? Push in the clutch and hit the breaks. Was still funny. 80MPH into the back of that car, was pretty crazy.

lol

that can be a problem with drive by wire.   If a short in the pot develops or however they are wired can cause instant full throttle.

this is why driving tests should be more then just can you park and drive in a circle.... if you dont know how to operate you car in a panic situation then you shouldnt be driving. YES use the brakes and the e-brake. put the car in neutral and turn it off(just kill the engine dont turn it the whole way or you will lock the steering wheel).

as for the full throttle fly by wire, most systems are designed to "fail-to-zero". that means if it shorts max voltage it pops and goes to zero throttle. if it grounds it is already at zero, no issue other then being stuck there. for all the people that panic about fly by wire stuck thottles ill show you 50years of broken return springs and stuck cables.
