I already have a passkey (I think, it's really long, many many characters). Advanced flags, what are they?

Copy and paste passkey it must be in place. After you complete 10 QRB work units, you qualify for bonus points. This link will guide you. http://foldingforum.org/viewtopic.php?p=181881

On a side note, my roommate's been complaining about the internet latency stuff going on in his Street Fighter game, was wondering if this has anything to do with Folding at all? I usually put it on "Full" at night and "Medium" during the day,

It's possible.  One of my folding rigs runs bigadv WUs, which are a type that can only be run on servers with at least 16 cores.  Most of those projects have results files around 85 MB.  My upload speed is only 2 Mb/s, so it takes around 6 minutes to upload.  During this time I find it almost impossible to use the internet, even on other devices connected to my network.  Most projects' WUs aren't nearly that large (around 5-12 MB for GPU projects and 10-15 MB for CPU projects), and I don't know what your upload rate is, but I could see that being a problem in a fighting game where 20 seconds of lag could lost him the round.

oh yeah, just one last question, if I SLI my GTX 760, can I dedicate one to folding and the other to gaming so that I can just leave the switch on "Full" or something?

I think you'd actually want to disable SLI in that case.  In the past I've had SLI'd cards, and pausing folding on the one into which the monitor was plugged while trying to watch a movie still produced some bad lag.  Disabling it got rid of the lag, even with the non-monitor card still folding away.

I see what you mean, have 2 GPUs but don't enable SLI? Regarding the internet delays, do you have any suggestions as to how I should manage it? Does QoS help?

I had the same problem while playing MW3 and having a work unit drop. I have rather slow upload speed (<1mbps), and it would usually end up dropping me from a lobby. QoS has had decent results, but I usually still get lag during the upload time. Some routers also seem to handle QoS better than others.

Wouldn't a bandwidth limit be a nice option for future clients, especially as units continue to get larger?

Firstly, to maximize points, you will need a passkey to be eligible for the Quick Return Bonus (QRB) points. Details on the passkey can be found here. The link to get one is also there. Once you complete 10 WU's, you will begin getting bonus points.

Secondly, you will need to set your GPU slot to client-type advanced in your client options. This will allow you to get the QRB work units on your GPU. As cokeman posted above, a guide is found here. If you are folding on your CPU as well, you should also leave a thread open for the GPU to use.

With these 2 improvements, you should see in excess of 100k PPD, depending on the work unit you get, and how often you fold in the day.

As for the little folder, I don't expect you will see many points from it. You may be able to get more points out of the P4 following the steps above, but I believe the ATI 4350 is just too slow.

Edit: Forgot to mention, if you are folding for team EVGA, make sure to put your name in on your profile so you can collect bucks!

Quite honestly it wasn't worth folding the P4's for me(2 of them)
a few hundred points a day each doesn't cut it for the power it uses

that doesn't mean yours won't do better (like overclocking)
remember QRB applies here too ... you'll probably just earning base points right now

the q6600 does about 2-3k PPD so base it on doing less than that - like at least 1/2

thanks for all the tips i did join evga folding and set up a passkey. i'm going to just let the p4 machine go to sleep. not worth the energy, it's a basic file server/htpc.

ok i got everything up to GPU slot to client-type advanced. but i do not understand

"folding on your CPU as well, you should also leave a thread open for the GPU to use."

and should do the same for my cpu setting it to advanced?
