Welcome to the team, suikata.
Your EVGA name and Folding name don't have to be identical, it just makes things easier if they are. If they're different, you need to contact Rob at
webmaster@evga.com so he can manually link your account with the proper stats. You do at least have to go into your profile and enter the folding username under EVGA Folding name.
Points are credited to your account whenever a Work Unit is uploaded successfully. The stats servers are updated every hour, though if you return a WU too close to the top of the hour it may not show up until the update after that, i.e. if you turn something in at 4:55 pm PT it will almost certainly not make it into the 5:00 pm update, but should show up by 6:00 pm. Note that
EOC, a third-party stats site which a lot of people look at for quick estimates of PPD and a somewhat detailed history, only updates once every 3 hours. The other major third-party stats site is
Kakao Stats, which also updates every 3 hours.
The slider provides a coarse-grained control over all your slots at once. You can see what all of the settings do towards the bottom of
this page. On Medium, the GPU is set to only run when the computer is idle. This is the default option because GPU's don't multitask well at all and many people have experienced significant lag when folding and actively using their computers for something else. It also runs on n-1 threads of your CPU to further avoid lag. Full will run everything full-blast.
To get bonus points you need a
passkey and complete 10 bonus-eligible WUs. Pretty much every CPU project is bonus-eligible, but there are only a handful of GPU projects currently with that status. None of those have been released to full FAH distribution yet, so if you want them (and you almost certainly do), you need to open Advanced Control (click on the FAH icon in the systray and select it), then select Configure->Slots, click on the GPU slot, select Edit, then at the bottom of the window add an Extra Slot Option with Name: 'client-type' and Value 'advanced', both without the quotes. Then select OK or Save until all the windows that popped up are closed. You should start getting WUs from projects 8900, 7810, or 7811, all of which are bonus-eligible. Note that you may get WUs from other projects mixed in, and right now any other GPU project does not get bonus points nor does it count towards your bonus eligibility. And no, there's no way to request short WUs for becoming bonus-eligible faster. It'll come soon enough, and hopefully you'll fold long enough that the couple of days you weren't getting bonuses is a tiny fraction of the time you've contributed.
