Hey all! I have been folding on and off, the last time I did any was back in April. I was folding under team 0, but then I learned about EVGA's efforts and how they are the #1 collaborative folding team, and I wanted in! I have an EVGA gtx 460 SE, so it seemed fitting to join here. After realizing I couldn't bitcoin mine worth crap on nVidia cards, I decided to put that computing power to good use for science instead. Hope to have a great time here, fold on, brothers!

Not new to EVGA nor folding but I am returning to help out here where I can. I had to stop folding for the team cause it was more stress than my main rig could handle 24/7. Circumstances have changed and now have peiced together a new main rig and my old rig is available for folding. Right now I can't promise a 24/7 commitment but will try an overnight 10/7 if that helps any.

Folding rig:
ASUS M4A78T-E motherboard
Phenom II x4 BE965 @ 3.7GHz w/ stock HSF
w/ onboard graphics only
8GB of Patriot Signature memory @1600 (worst investment ever but helps the pc boot)
3x RAID0 SATA Green HDD

Main rig:
ASUS Crosshair V Formula motherboard
FX-8120 @ 4.5GHz w/ Corsair H80
ATI HD4850 (my dinosaur which I hope to replace w/ 560ti 448 in next couple months)
8GB Corsair Vengeance @ 1866 (2nd worst investment ever)
Corsair Force 3 120GB

Please direct me in any specific way I need to help and if there are any benefits I need to be aware of. Otherwise thanks for welcoming me back to the team.

Version v7 the latest folding@home client would be your best & easiest setup as it will detect your hardware auto
and will set up a client for each piece that can fold with in that system.
Use your forum name & team # 111065 in the setup process.

Thanks for the info. I am kinda a veteran at folding. Right now I am using v6 on vm linux for my Phenom II BE965 and my main rig, fx-8120, is folding v6 on native Linux Mint. Last month I was getting lots of cheap work unit for both rigs on v7. They were barely giving my 8120 any points. 12 to 15kppd. I already had v6 setup on the fx-8120 so started it up and started raking in 25kppd. I did the same with my BE965 which was actually performing the same ppd totals as my 8120 on v7 but I switched it to v6 also and been avg 10kppd. ATI HD 4850 won't fold on my main rig under native linux and even if it would ppd would be nothing. I am hoping to invest in a 560ti 448 in the near future (couple months from now probably). BE965 rig only has onboard video. Presently when both rigs fold as is I get a modest 35kppd. But I can only do that on special occasions as my main rig is not ready for 24/7. My BE965 can probably do 12/7 at the most w/ stock cooling. I am trying to decide whether to break out my custom fix H80 for the old BE965 but it had a past with leaks. AFAIK I should have stopped the leaks. I just got to be brave enough to run it again.

Anything I need to do in order to further contribute to the EVGA cause let me know.
