Thanks for the article. The one distribution center is the one about 2 miles away from me. Because they are closing the store, they are also closing the warehouse. It's a local law that if you have a warehouse or distribution center, you must have a storefront attached to it. And I agree, the store always had STUPID price match rules. No price match to Amazon, Newegg, etc even though Tiger is (well, was) both an online AND retail store. Kinda pathetic. They would only match local brick and mortar stores like Microcenter, Best Buy, and Frys. Throughout my year and a half tenor there, the store traffic consistently dropped. We started carrying less computer hardware and more stupid
(Deleted/Foul Language) like mattresses, gun safes, and kitchen electronics. It was really cringe worthy. Coupled with the stupid inventory, management was absolutely ATROCIOUS. Literally, negative, belittling morons were getting promoted; I had my sales manager call employees a waste of payroll and call them names and stuff. Reporting these things to HR wouldn't do much, as HR was just as lazy and retarded. I quit back in October, and haven't looked back since.
It's too bad, really. Before the douchebag managers and dumb inventory took over, the store was an amazing place to work in. I literally looked forward to going into work every day. The place could have always been SO much better though. Now a lot of my ex-coworker buddies are out of jobs...
