I'd say it is a pretty good deal when you consider the C400 being a bit disappointing in terms of improvements it offers and that it is really just a 25nm tweaked version of the C300.

So than waiting for the C400 is pointless, I might pick up another SSD for my notebook :-) or RAID 0 in my desktop but that would require me to reformat my hard drive yet again....

Yeah, the only way I would buy the C400 is if they are cheaper than the C300. The actual performance as an OS drive is equal or inferior (because of the random Read) and uses 3000 Write cycle 25nm NAND Vs the 5000 write cycles of the C300... They just boosted the sequential performance for marketing sake...

i ordered a package friday last week. shipped from NJ to NJ and it took 8 days to arrive.
better spend $3-$5 more and get it in 2/3 days.
i've had free shipping on many other stores before and they take a little bit longer to arrive (1/2 days more than paying for shipping) but newegg takes the 1st place for slow "free" shipping".

I'm sorry you've had a bad expereince, but every order of mine from NewEgg that has free shipping takes the normal 2-4 business days. I ordered some ram and motherboard last Monday and would have had it in had Wednesday if my girlfriend answered the door , so Thursday instead. This is just the latest in my many orders that have come quickly and at no additional cost.
