What I dislike about Newegg and this kind of 'deal' is they cannot give you the price until you 'checkout'.
 
If they cannot post the price up front, I will not even bother with them.

Take Amazon for instance, When they're having a special let's say TV's or other electronics, It will be the exact same process. I can't remember the reason why, But I've seen it on Best Buy, Walmart, Sears, Target you name it.

I have seen similar on the sites you mention, and others, but only adding the item to the cart is necessary to see the price, not requiring 'checkout'.
 
I use Amazon quite frequently, but have never seen it there.
