Not sure if it's an Nvidia promo or Newegg, but I ordered a couple TIs a couple weeks ago and they honored this deal for me and sending me a free Shield. So, if you recently ordered two or plan to buy two, check out Newegg

Purchase 2x EVGA GTX 780Ti SC GPUs and get an nVidia Shield for FREE bundle

Awesome deal but damnit, I just purchased 2 of these GPUs last week on Feb 5th.
Going to call Newegg tomorrow too see if they'll hook me up.  I'll more than gladly return the 2 codes for AC4, already own and beaten the game and don't care about them!

And if Newegg won't, maybe nVidia directly would...or EVGA?

Well this is annoying!  Contacted Newegg this morning and they won't honor the deal unless I go through the hassle of doing a full return/refund + restocking fee, then repurchase the GPU bundle to get the nVidia Shield.  The offer is through EVGA afterall, will contact them later today and see what can be done.  With the restocking fees, it would be like purchasing the Shield at full price, so thats not an option.

Scratch that, this is actually a Newegg promotion, after speaking with EVGA and nVidia, they have nothing to do with this offer, Newegg didn't have all their information correct!

I wonder if you could buy Newegg Primer and use it for past orders. $50 for Newegg Primer for No stocking fee and free return postage.

Why not purchase these and send back your old ones in the meantime. An Nvidia Shield is a good value

After spending almost 3hrs on the phone, with live chat and going over options with a Newegg Supervisor, we finally came to an agreement!

Regardless of whatever option or scenario I presented they just wouldn't budge on just sending me an nVidia Shield.  Apparently the world ends on their end if you don't buy the specified bundle deal during the specified time period, because they could not or rather would not offer an exception.  Finally worked out in the end, but what a hassle, good grief!

By purchasing a Premier Account service {$50} I got the restocking fee waived, which technically wasn't an option for an existing paid & shipped order, but they decided to give it to me. :)   Newegg also didn't want to give me a full refund on my already opened and used GPUs, but they did in the end since I was buying the bundle outright again.  I offered to have them just keep the new ones I purchased and refund the perfectly working pair I already have{to save them money}, but once again, no can do.  Gotta send them back...le sigh

Had to break out a new CC to afford the bundle, but thankfully it has no Interest for the next 18 months.  All good I suppose having it all on one card instead of two, even though I'm planning on paying $800 for the first payment {from the sale of my SLi 680s}

Quite the hassle, but in the end I came out with an nVidia Shield for $50 technically, and 2 copies of AC4 again, didn't know they were giving me those cause it wasn't listed as part of the bundle until it hit the cart.{planning to sell them regardless}  Order has already shipped and should arrive either Wed or Thurs! {have 2-day ShopRunner Trial}  YAY!

Nice to hear Newegg CS worked with your persistence and that it paid off in the end.  That is a pretty good deal too.
