My suggestion... radiators are nice but chillers rule when it comes to water cooling.

i second that... chillers are the way to go... just watch the condesation and you'll go far.

You could get a pretty chiller like Johnkiss or make cheap ugly  AC brute like the rest of us... ROFL!

Nateman uses radiators in reverse and his chiller to cool his Mountain Mods case.

Anyone wanna take a noob under their wing, and help me take a dive into Watercooling a 5870 and 5970?
I have no clue where to start. any takers?

Here's a link to his original thread... I suggested that he post here for some help.

@ pwnzorz

Keep in mind any advise I give you will be slanted to the extreme side.

I'm looking at those 140mm sized rads for some of my up coming builds to cool some thermoelectric chillers.  You might consider the thermoelectric chillers as an alternative to the bigger compressor styled chillers as they can be fitted in the case... kinda like a Coolit Boreas on steroids... lol.  Let me see if I can post some picks that I had earlier in this thread on my thermoelectric madness.

Thermoelectric Madness

I'm working on a nice TEC chiller that will fit 2 - 5.25" drive bays and run off of a single or dual 3 x120 rad.

8 of 11 high flow fans

my fan wire managment

aluminum 8 tec chiller on top of Thermaltake gpu psu and power leads from Corsair HX850 pcie lines to supply power... screaming Delta fans which really are just as quiet as other fans when turned down... nice to have the cfm & when you want it. ;)

I gota try out that new Swiftech bock which is said to be 3*c better than this GTZ... lol... well at least that is what Swiftech says... so that should make it as good or better than the Heatkiller.

More madness

I don't know how I got away with this without insulating 24% humidity doesn't hurt ;)

Hot and cold side of tec chiller... backwards on the colors.... this is with the ac chiller cooling the hot side. More like 18*/29* without ac chilling the hotsides... still working on it... one tec broke so there is a little more to be had as this is only 7 out of 8 that are on that dual block.

Remember these? Getting ready to fire them up soon.

Hmmmm... now what goes where?

2 Swiftech quads

old faithfull chilling the hot side just to see how low you can take the tec chiller

Close up of gpu psu... I had two but one failed... lol... I thought they auto shut down if they got over loaded... lol... sometimes... gota love Micro Center's Returns!

Gota keep pushin!!!

At the moment i have the 5870, the 5970 is still being hunted.
I'm ready to pull the trigger on parts, matter of fact my wife is waiting for me to choose the stuff as we speak but im pretty much clueless.
my budget to spend is around 600ish.
i'm open to anything, i'm most likely buying a Mountain Mods Ascension case.
And i really wanna use compression fittings EVERYWHERE. i do not trust myself with retention clips or zip ties, i'm pretty sure i'll end up blowing my computer into the abyss

I'm also very much into things looking good, i'm sure most of you want the extreme cooling, at the moment i'm not planning an extreme overclock, i do however plan to watercool cpu/chipset at a later time
