HAHA I was one of the originals on that HWBot team when it 1st started.

XP is still the king of almost all benches 2D and 3D.

only reason I left XP was to do Vantage.  i wish I could get a refund on Vista.  what a HORRIBLE OS.  and the 10,000 point increase with W7 with stock settings  justifies why it is better.

@ OC333, why is your vcore so high? I thought i7s in general stop scaling at about 1.6vcore?

i know you can get between 720 to 750 or so...but i forget...it's been so long and i forgot what i was doing when i did those runs.

740 was a walk in the park.  I maxed out at 760 on air...(back in the day!).  How bout those HWbot scores John & nate!  That's what happens when I take my eye off the ball for a month.  I'm bumped off the top 20 single card rankings now that three 5970's showed up!

3 of those cards in front of him now.. i have quite a few of them in front of me as well..dual and single card..hwbot. and those cards are on air.

Another $600+ for a 5970...naa.  I'm satisfied with my 295's now.  And I'm actually using by bench rig for real applications now (not that vantage is not real...but).  I'm kinda into HD video editing now.  Got some new toys to play with lately. The i7 920 rips right through rendering HD footage.  Poor 295's just sit there idle while the cpu does the work. 

Where is old man winter?  Been a balmy fall here in the east.  I promise I'm going to get sub-zero, au natural, with my 295's soon!
