Hey nate. Watch you back in team standing at hwbot. I just passed d1esle and hallowen and now I'm headed for you!

My banner doesn't reflect it yet but I'm now at 45+.

Nice scores mr natural....any advice on how to tweak 3dm 2001?

Nate, you getting a dual pcb card back?

It will be such a crapshoot.  They said IF they have one, when your card is received, they will send you one.
Their stance is "you will receive an equal or greater" card... blah blah.  They said the co-op's ram is faster so that makes it a "better' card.

Yea, better only if you can over-volt it....you just have to hope someone sent in a perfect dual pcb card mistakenly thinking it was defective.  I think your chances are slim, but we can only hope.  You have the best chance for 47k if you get a good dual card back.  I'm not cold enough yet to push any further...

That cpu is touchy...if it's cold enough, it will run 219.  a few degrees warmer and the whole system bogs down.  I'm thinking it really needs to be cold to get to 220 (where I need to be).  I think the clocks we are running on the gpus are near optimum for water cooling....It's all cpu now to get to 47k.

I spent a good part of last night trying to get 220 stable. I kept crashing in the last few minutes, and my daughter wouldn't stop crying.  I had her in 1 arm, and tweaking the bios in the other hand.  I occasionally got it to pass, but most of the time it would lock up at the last few seconds of CPU test 1.  I occasionaly get 220 to pass, and that is where all of my record setting runs have been

Hmm maybe I'll throw my old 80Gb XP drive back in, and run some 3dmark tests in XP...

Edit: Yeah I think I will.

John, why don't you flash your 5970 to Asus or MSI bios? If i am remebering correctly, those ones are unlocked. That might be the 5870 though...i forget now.... I am confusing myself lol.

been there done that with a cell phone...i had a pda and they gave me a stupid treo...lol...boy was i mad!

That 5970 is "locked"?  What do you mean.  how so?

meaning you can only go 1000 core and 1300 memory from 725/1000...still that's one hell of a jump on air, but limits it against the 5870's
Q56_Monster

I wonder how much $ you can make benching?  I wonder if the top guys make any worthwhile coin?  Anyone know?

not sure about money, but you can get access to all to top of the line stuff they have to offer... and they have competitions going on throughout the year you can win at...if your on ln2 or he and dont mind hard moding your boards and cards....lol

this one will take about 20 reboots to work through..
boot into windows and watch where it ends at...the either add
ioh vcore and not to much cpu vtt. i still get away with.
and you ram voltage needs to really be at about 1.7
and 124 means vtt /vcore voltage/ioh voltage
ich vcore voltage will stabilize test 2

you are already cold enough...get into windows at what ever you can boot. and you really need to have the ioh voltage (north bridge) up there some. ram around 1700 to 1800 mhz NB around 4 ghz...pcie around 115.
and just clcik one thing at a time...make a run, crash reboot. click something else...when it goes farther..you have another piece of the puzzle....

the last one i seen was the 5870...although one person did have their core above 1000...

if i can get my cpu colder...i may be able to push it harder....30k on air is a major feet...

my chiller is working hard to keep that cpu chilled....lol

I saw that too. But he has a HIS 5970. And from the pics, it doesn't look modded, excluding the fact that it is watercooled. I wonder how he broke the lock? Maybe he made a custom bios or hacked the stock bios? Hmm....

what we're his stock clocks at?

i was doing that last night... I would save bios profile after every successful test.    when I got to 220, I would try different things, didnt work, return to 219, and try walking it up again etc.  changing so many diff things.  i am at 2:10 though.  tried bouncing around to 2:8 etc.  trying everything.

EDIT:
everything except dumping copious amounts of Vcore.  I could probably get it to pass with ton's of CPU voltage, but I am in the 1.4's wiht 219, why would I need to go well beyong 1.55 to get 220 to pass?
