I spent a good part of last night trying to get 220 stable. I kept crashing in the last few minutes, and my daughter wouldn't stop crying. I had her in 1 arm, and tweaking the bios in the other hand. I occasionally got it to pass, but most of the time it would lock up at the last few seconds of CPU test 1. I occasionaly get 220 to pass, and that is where all of my record setting runs have been
this one will take about 20 reboots to work through..
boot into windows and watch where it ends at...the either add
ioh vcore and not to much cpu vtt. i still get away with.
and you ram voltage needs to really be at about 1.7
and 124 means vtt /vcore voltage/ioh voltage
ich vcore voltage will stabilize test 2
you are already cold enough...get into windows at what ever you can boot. and you really need to have the ioh voltage (north bridge) up there some. ram around 1700 to 1800 mhz NB around 4 ghz...pcie around 115.
and just clcik one thing at a time...make a run, crash reboot. click something else...when it goes farther..you have another piece of the puzzle....

Hmm maybe I'll throw my old 80Gb XP drive back in, and run some 3dmark tests in XP...
Edit: Yeah I think I will.
i would if i were you...:)

John, why don't you flash your 5970 to Asus or MSI bios? If i am remebering correctly, those ones are unlocked. That might be the 5870 though...i forget now....
I am confusing myself lol.
the last one i seen was the 5870...although one person did have their core above 1000...
if i can get my cpu colder...i may be able to push it harder....30k on air is a major feet...
my chiller is working hard to keep that cpu chilled....lol
