As you have seen in the above previous posts, The New CPU is starting to Help out Very Well in increasing my Futuremark Scores.

Thanks Dave, I am betting that buying another New $900 "Retail" 5960X will probably work out better than my previous idea at finding a "proven" High-End LN2 Overclocking CPU for my Benching purposes.
 
The reason I say this is due to the fact that out of the two "Used" $1250 - $1500 Binned/Golden LN2 5960X's that I was waiting on and ABOUT to purchase, I received notifications within the past week that Both of them had "Bought the Farm" and were No Longer available.
 
Supposedly, One Failed after a Month even though it was NOT under LN2 cooling, and the other Fried the IMC during an LN2 Benching Test! 

Yeah, buying a known good one **CAN** be OK, but I would REALLY need to know the guy doing it and exactly how he tests things.  Otherwise to me, that would be like buying a trailered only Drag strip car with 25000 miles on it.  Sure it was epic, sure it might still be fast, but how long until catastrophic failures are imminent?

havent gotten to test more yet.
 
This was all done on a h100i with ghetto rigged fans with 24c ambients.
 
need to get new memory i think, gskill 3000 c15s acting up randomly, gonna try to find some that can do 3200 c12 or so if i can.
 
 
edit: i lied about the mem, did some more tweaking and got it working fine. was physical tweaking that needed to be done. i removed the heatsinks on the chips a while back and i think i overtightened the replacement heatsinks causing problems. seems to work fine now. found out theyre hynix chips so hopefully they scale well with temps and volts.
 
oh also got to test the cpu more, 4.75ghz @ 1.32v runs cinebench r15 and all 3dmark 3d benches just fine. will fine tune more around this and use this as my ambient temp overclock. Cpu does around 5.85ghz or so with ln2 in r15.

That Chip is VERY similar in specs to the 5.84GHz LN2 5960X that I was going to buy before I unfortunately was informed it "Failed" during LN2 testing prior to purchase, But don't take me wrong here, I'm not implying your Chip will have any problems and I wish you the BEST of luck with it!

LOL, Such is Life and at least it failed BEFORE I bought it!
Are you going to put yours under LN2/DICE, or just run it at ambient temps?

im gonna eventually ln2 it, just need to get a gigabyte x99 champion mobo and some ram for it, dont want to grease up the main x99 board i have lol.
 
Got mine imported from switzerland from Hiwa lol, took a month to get here.

Gotten it on ln2 yet?  Hoping for some nice benching numbers!  Of all threads, this one should never be silent :D
