what ive noticed is with certain benchmarking programs (like OCscanner) the pixel clock limit imposed by the new drivers is responsible for lower scores as it prevents higher framerates. using toastyX's pixel clock unlocker, i went from 70 fps in OCscanner, to 1384 fps..... so apparently nvidia's own software is causing this. i still love toasty for the fix!! :D
So why does this happen with one monitor and not another? Is there a fix?
there is, go to 120hz . net and look for toastyX's pixel clock unlocker, i have it installed, works perfectly :) it should make that problem go away.
also i should add, the reason why this would happen to one monitor and not the other (assuming they are on the same setup) is that the pixel clock limit is on the dvi's. so if your using hdmi/dvi setup, the dvi side will be pixel clock locked. there is more to it than that, of which i dont know much about, but thats the basics from what ive read. use the unlocker and everything should be fine.
