So I was out in the garage. Was like 33F. Did some "testing " of the 2600K I have. Well 5.6Ghz + with 1.61 vcore, never went over 45C. never crashed any bench. And though I didn't test for hours seemed to be stable. Want to see if I can get 5.7+ out of it.
I use 2 pumps 2 triple rads, and 1 dual (good ones, don't remember what kind) Anyway I know there is no SAFE voltage. But how high til death to the chip? Like is 1.7 doable with better than 50/50 no death?
Mid 1.6's. 1.7 on almost subzero water is a little risky. 1.65 ok, maybe 1.68 to see if extra voltage gets you into 5.7. It's really not the temps you need to worry about with your cooling, it's degradation of the chip over time. Yeah, you have a better than 50/50 @ 1.7, but if you find 1.7 works, and you bench the hell out of it, it might turn into a 5.5 chip.....not that you'd care, lol
You know what I'd say....go for it dude
