Hmm alright I'll work on that this weekend then.

Nate and Q, once you turn an AC into a chiller can you turn it back to a working AC later on?

I imagine it's possible, but I wouldn't.  Who knows where all those screws go now, lol!  Not to mention if you bent the copper tubes to fit the cooler ( I didn't...wish I did though).  Easier just to buy another cheap ac.

Edit:  Oh yeah...what Nate said...I had to cut off the fan/shaft too.  Most likely you will have to do that too, as the fan gets in the way of the cooler

Hmm. Interesting. Now it'll depend on whether my parents will let me or not, my dad said it's a 12k BTU.

Heh I don't have the tools or skill to build a phase unit or I'd just build a 3 stage Cascade.

Heh parents shot down the chiller idea.

Oh well, what tools do you need to make a phase John? And what size compressors would be good for say(i.e. 1/4HP, 1/2HP, 3/4HP)... A 2 stage cascade -100C @ 300W load? Or for a Single Stage -50C @ 300W?
