Your right its for the acoustics and the cool look black gives and it hides the black cables behind the monitors , It improved the sound by about 40% it's amazing how much it improves!!

Is it any special type of carpet or what? How much difference you think in the next room hearing the PC. Thats a BIG problem I am having right now. Guess it's a good thing I'm not married anymore, a G/F can #$*&@#( all she wants, but can't really do jack bout it. Wife on the other hand.... well..... you turn the volume down.....

Bigrelly that is awesome, gotta love it.

Gonna pick up some extended fins, any opinions? Black or red? For Dominator GT.

why not get corsair tech cooler or ram waterblock, fins won't do much.

See the pic of my Classy on previous page that block is on there. The way my case is laid out the airflow across my memory sucks and they stayed quite warm so I snagged this thing up. Don't know how well it works just yet, not done building the rig again. But I am hoping it will be better than what it was before.

I think so anyway, as long as the water is non conductive lol

A ram water block is truly foolish.  If you aren't able to get good airflow over the ram then just get one of those ram fans or make your own.

gonna have to say....grab a ram fan as well. for 15 bucks, they do a very nice job of cooling. and that's one less item to take apart...should you spring a leak or something.

Ya ever cry when ya look at your fitting box and realize ya have 200-300 dollars worth of fittings doing nothing? I just did, think it's about time to do some marketplace. got some blocks and pumps and pump tops I need to ditch. I need to get my addition finished so I can get organized, I keep ordering stuff I already had "Somewhere".

He wants fins in the first place guessing he still wants it to look cool. Halo's pc is more of a sharp looking gamer rig than a benchmarking rig. ram block is a plus to keep noise down vs more fans.
Doubt he's tearing down as much as you and I John
Plus is the block is cheap around $43, if I had doms and still cared about how my rig looked id get one
