I use nothing less then 1" around the pot.

i use 1/2" around the pot and 1" around that.

ok... so  here is my .. homemade recovery/fill/vacuum setup for my phase unit(didn't attach the vacuum pump, but it's there)
idea came straight from drewmeister.

 
this is so i can manually adjust my system for different loads and maximize my potential gains.... it's still a work in progress sort of thing...

Hey nate did you put any thought into making evaps for phase units with your new skillset. They should be a little easier than blocks I would imagine

nah, no test, but if i keep buying up refrigeration tools...i just might give it a serious go.

thought you needed a certification for some of those gasses? Maybe laws are state not federal.

i have some ac refrigeration companies as clients. and im only using r507...
sure would like to get my hands on some r508b. that stuff is like -100C

I haven't thought of Evap heads yet.  Thinking colder, and more short term at the moment.  Not impossible to make the evap heads, I have a lathe too ;)  (just not CNC lathe)
