i tried that...didn't work in the end. so now i just cover them all...but on the MB, this should butt up to the heat sink and create a seal in itself.

I saw a thread on OCN about dragon skin. And XtremeCustoms was one of the guys i remember from it. It seems like really amazing stuff! One thing they did say to be careful with was removal. They said if it gets under caps on the board, you have to be super careful when trying to get those parts off otherwise you could accidentally rip some caps off your boards.

he was the one that told me about it, but never said anything about ripping caps off.... ill have to read the rest of it.

Yea, i don't think it actually happened, but someone in that thread noted it as an observation as a possiblity if it flows under them (the caps).

it may just be me but when you get a lock still in the bios before changing any settings I started to worry,it could be that something on my 758 is getting to cold, not the greatest insulation job, been looking at a 4 way classy or a p67 classy, or I may just wait and see what socket 2011 or bulldozer can pull off and stick with what I got until then

Let me know if you need a new adapter plate.

should be fine with mounting it on sb as it's holes are a smaller layout than x58, not sure about Bulldozer or socket 2011 though, but I have a grandpa and a few different uncles that basically own machine shops (farm's are good) that I can make something that will work

Well if you think about it, it's not like it is insulating. It is just an easier solution than eraser for keeping moisture off a board. If you want to control frost, it seems to me that closed-cell foam is the only thing, and the eraser or dragon skin or other solutions keeps what moisture appears off of components.

Or you could soak everything in Vaseline, and not worry about anything, lol.

The only thing that is going to insulate is... insualtion. I feel like I have been beating folks to death saying eraser does not insulate.

Eraser is easy, insulation is hard.  Insulation > Eraser.

whats the difference between liquid tape, and the dragon skin?  same stuff it looks like.

isn't liquid tape black and you can't see the componets? and doesn't spread well vs the other is clear and pretty much will level it's self out over a given area before setting in place.... speculation of course.

and im only talking about keeping the water off the board really...others were talking about frost.

and of course i use foam around the pot, matter of fact..i have a double layer of foam around the pot it self. (no shop towels - ) works petty damn good.
