If you're doing a full card water block, just do eraser.  Then insulate the outside of the waterblock with foam/armaflex, and the back of the card with shop towel and layer of amaflex.

Depending on how cold you go, and humidity levels, you can just get away with shop towels on the outside all the way around(0c).  Eraser is a must though, either way.

Hey Q
I'm assuming that prep is for a pot due to the thick gasket around the gpu.  If I insulate my cards for a block do i just need to prep it with eraser? Or does anything need to go over that?  Seems like it cant be to thick or the block wont make good contact with the mem, vregs, etc.

Eraser is NOT an insulator.  ALWAYS use foam as well.  My personal preference is the liquid rubber stuff, but eraser works too.  Liquid rubber flows in & seals up small gaps around the gpu.

Threed!?  you bring a tear to my eye!  im so proud of you!  :)
Now take her clothes off, I wanna see her naked!

Any word about Forum Wars???

We will have the stock score thread up today.  After that, we can all start submitting our stock scores.  Just be sure to turn off turbo and speedstep for your wprime32 stock screen shot.  Otherwise your overclock percentage will be messed up.

@ Nate thanks bud  means a lot coming from you  I would strip it down but I've already got the armaflex on and don't want to waste it.

@ Q I was going to ask about the GPU prep but you got me covered . I'm using nail polish out to the ram and going to use molding clay how far out should I go with that??? Should the ram be alright if I cover it with the gasket and would you mind post some pics of the back of your card prepped? Also I would try my 260 but i use this for my gaming rig so I'll be taking baby-steps.

@ Halo Thanks for the kind words . I use the cut down versions of XP, Vista and Full version of W7 all partitioned on the same drive. Vista help my p55 setup in 3D05 with high clocks both for the CPU and GPU. Xp is great for 01-06, If your going to use one drive you'll need to whip it clean and partition it I'd say about 12-15ghz for XP, 15ghz Vista and about 35ghz for W7 not sure about W7 tiny. I also like Xp tiny for 2D benches.

Just finished all the coding for it.  If I can square up my mill tonight I can get a prototype done.

Ok. Thats what I thought.  Shop towels should be all I need for now.

If you're using nail polish, then you wouldn't need eraser/clay I would think.  But I take the eraser right up to the RAM, seal the ram around the edges.  Cover everything else....everything.  Back of card is easy...I cover the entire back with eraser, then shop towel, then foam insulation.

The last pic is my new toy...quad temp...I had to show someone, hehe
