I only have one chunk of copper for a single pot at the moment.  I can practice on Aluminum all day long, but I only get one shot at copper, and that stuff is expensive lately!

How much would your gpu pots cost Nate, might be looking for something inexpensive that works well with DICE.

What is geekbench32 and is there a version that we need for Forum Wars? Also is it tweakable like SuperPI?
Okay guys here's the direct download link for geekbench 32 http://www.primatelabs.ca.../Geekbench21-Setup.exe

How much would an aluminum GPU pot go for also how do you think temps would be using DICE?

Yeah i've never really benched in a competition before so let me know any tweaks for all those tests in the wars.

Also interested to hear about a GPU pot, one that would fit a 295 hopefully. Otherwise once I replace my PSU I'll pick up a tek 9.

Seems to help in 06 to run @ native res with Vsync off, for texture filtering - Quality run High performance. Use evga precision profiles for the different GPU tests. Let's say in GT1 the first test you run @ 800core but in GT2 your card won't pass @ 800core. Set a profile for 750core and when GT2 is loading switch to your 750core profile. I use the F1 keys to change gpu clocks. For example F1 ='s 800core F2 ='s 750core, your able to change your GPU clocks whenever you want in the middle of a 3D benchmark. This will turn your keyboard into an evbot pretty much, I find it very helpful. Also 06 scores are better using XP. If you already know/do this sorry to waste your time.
I don't have any Vantage tweaks tho...

With bios defaults loaded CPU at 3.3ghz

After overclock looks like XP is the winning OS coming out almost 100 points better!
So for the stock clock submissions I'll be using Windows 7 and for the last submissions use XP. If I read the rules correctly we'll get a higher score for a bigger difference between scores correct me if I'm wrong...
Found the Forum wars calculator http://forumwars.us/fwcalc2011.htm my results so far, not sure how good this is...

i do believe that geekbench is 32 bit only. from my experience xp works best. in fact all the 2d bench's are 32 bit. someone correct me if im wrong

Just one note about the 2d benches.  You should use wprime 1.55.  When you load the program you must change the # of threads to the # your CPU has.   It will default to 1 thread and your time will suck.

The only benchmark this year that requires a screen shot is wprime.  All other scores will be verified by link only.  (Geekbench, 06, and vantage)  When you submit your wprime SS please make sure that you use the forumwarz background (when it is available) and also include 1 CPU-z tab for memory and 1 for CPU.

Edit-
Stock scores are almost entirely posted so that teams have something to fall back on if someone is a now show for overclocking.  The only score that is dependent on your stock scores is your OC bonus.  Having a lower stock score in anything else will not get you anything.

Please do not try to distort your stock speed as honesty is a huge part of this competition.
