I would like to keep pushing the Q720M. I honestly have no idea what is wrong with it though. Now I can't hardly exceed 150Mhz Bclock. I was having this problem before too, but it seemed like a certain combination of memory fixed the problem. Now the problem is back again full force.
ARggh! I want to get some boints!
I did see the core voltage spike for a split second at 1.8-1.9v at one point while drawing the pencil on the PWM controller. I wonder if I nuked it.

I am getting memory related BSoDS while overclocking past ~150MHz BClock. I wonder if I screwed up the IMC. Anyone have a Q720M (A.K.A 720QM) lying around which they don't need anymore after upgrading?
On another note, I was wondering if anyone has some advice regarding getting XP working on my laptop. I have tried slipstreaming SP3, SATA, and Chipset drivers into the XP install disk, but still I get a BSoD while starting the install (after it is done loading drivers and first starting the setup process) relating to my hard drive. I don't know if it is the SATA CD-ROM drive which is tripping the BSoD or the SATA Hard drive. Maybe it is a problem with AHCI versus IDE mode (which I have no control over with this laptop). Any thoughts? Success stories?
