Ok, so our family friend came over today to pick up the first system i fixed, and to drop of the freshly RMA'd psu for me to finish up the second system. He decided to pay me today. I got a nice sum of $, and since he is getting out of custom building, he left me with all his extra stuff. Some of it is junk, but there are some video cables, dvi-vga adapters, sli bridges, etc. which should be useful. He also left me an Asus M2N32-SLI Deluxe Wireless Edition, an athlon x2 5200, and...drumroll please...the 8800gtx! I am so stoked! Some money and some parts to bench!

Your a biased party, the best way to have something benchmarked is to have a third party do it. This would be like Nvidia releasing benchmarks for there Video cards, rather than having third parties review them.

Are you going to send it to vapor?  If you do, and the tests are in your favor in a big way, I'm not sure how you are going to prevent someone from stealing your idea!?  On the other hand, sometimes the things you sacrifice produce 10 fold returns.

Maybe I missed something, but I'm just not sure why they are so eager to test it if they think it won't perform?

They were questioning the data.  Seemed like higher ambient temps for the HK block run. 


On a side note.. MORE MILLING GOODNESS!! I was trying to true up an edge of ALU. 



I am making a jig and looking to see how straight I could make the block.  You can see how the edge of the block leaves much to be desired.  I need a facing bit

Side note: I need to get like a cheap 8800 GT cooler. Got an MSI sitting here but I can't attach the HSF, due to no screws/nuts. lol. I think it's going to be my DICE card...

Nate sounds like he just found the mill to end all mills, I guess having a cheap drill press and cross vise for a couple of months really does things to a man and his relationship with his fellow machine

Also, get that damn thing off a wood bench! It doesnt deserve treatment like that!

You guys got any tricks or chemicals to clean crud/rust of an old ac evap??
