Well Guys I must say thanks to all that voted me in to the Gigabyte Overclocking Competition on the weekend........
I Won the Enthusiast Comp....... all be it by .6 of a second with my Super32m score!!
The first part of the comp was wPrime32m, we had one hour to get the best score (System: P55-UD7, i5670, Corsair GTX3 Ram on AIR)
With only an hour before hand, to test the system I was having some major stability problems.....so things wernt looking up..
So starting with an unstable system it took another 45min before things started to come together......and with 2min to go i was able to get in to second place
The second Part was SuperPi32m..... this being a single thread test and XP being the main OS to use I had a lot of tweaks to sort through....So I started with a very conservative run to get on the board and found my self 1 min behind the leader....DAM...Snappy1 the leader had just pulled off a 5Gig Run on air (but was using Win7).... so after getting all my tweaks sorted and 20min to go (these runs take Approx 8.5 min to complete) I started it up at a lower clock, (4.9Gig) thinking i would still have time for a second run if things didn't go well but pulled off a nice .2 second lead and held it till the end
It was a blast benching all new components and none of it Mine..... although the Motherboard (GA-P55-UD7) and Wester Digital 600G VelociRaptor Were some of my Prize's
So thanks again Guys......and sorry for the long post
