anyone benching this weekend? I am saving it all till next weekend.
I wish.

I'm probably gonna go crazy benching though once school is out(end of the month).

thats because your board is not a 1366....
the 775's are made differently
my 775 didn't get any rust either.
I figured that might be the case, but i thought i would post the good news anyways.

@xxrabid..The bracket screws on the classified boards are prone to rust I think. And that air cooler should work real well...direct heatpipe FTW! My xigmatec is direct and it's the best $30 air cooler I ever had.
Yea, i noticed in ur guys pics that it was the screws. Are the screws nickel-plated or only the bracket? Maybe that is the cause?
Too bad it isn't an HDT cooler. lol. But the heatpipes are really close to the bottom of the base, so that should be nice. But to fit it on my DFI board, i'm gonna have to cut out a corner of the plasting mouting bracket for one of the fans on it. It shouldn't compromise the integrity of the mount at all, but i am kinda peeved that i'm gonna have to do that. But then again, i could try it on the Gigabyte board... I actually have the Xigmatec HDT-S1283 on my Gigabyte s775 benching board right now. Once school is out (end of the month) i might do a little comparison/review between the two coolers on s775. Maybe even on s1366 against my Megahalems, idk.
