I broke everything down the other day and found a little rust. Just like you, John...I guess I'll experiment more with insulation. Good thing for plasti-dip!
So then, tonight, I put one of my 295's back on air. I was thinking of rma'ing this card since I still have some output quality issues. I spoke about it before and thought it was the sli bridge, but no, it still has low resolution "look" to it. Not the low res of a performance vantage run, but a little worse than that when running vantage. the color is not fully saturated. It happens only in 3d applications. Desktop is fine. I don't really know how to explain it...maybe I'll take a pic later.
So I benched it a little, and on air, it still beats iride's best single GTX 480 on water with heavy overclocks. (He currently has the best 480 single card run, followed closely by awalleye)
It's a killer bench card, but if I ever sold it, I'm not sure gamers would like the screen quality. Evga said they could get me a dualie replacement, but it would take 2-3 weeks. I don't care about the down time.
What do you guys think...rma it, or keep it.
