Thanks for the confirmation John...I thought that might be asking for trouble. I'll just drain the loop. I found a real easy way to drain my loop in literally 5 seconds.

Just insert a trumpet/cornet mouthpiece into the end of the loop and blow! All liquid goes back through the pump into the reservoir. It's a little hard blowing back through 3 blocks, but nothing a healthy person couldn't manage. Now I know why the flow is just a dribble even using a 1000+ gph pump. Not only does the extreme cold liquid make it sluggish, but the resistance of the blocks is much greater than I ever thought. Anyway, even if you don't play, you can pick up a trumpet mouthpiece for $25 or under at any music store or on ebay.

if it's moving to slow...add more water than prestone or windshield wiper fluid...just enough to make it run faster, but not enough to freeze in the lines. i ran straight prestone and had to drain half of that and dilute it with water...then my flow ran like normal.

nice little move there...when i drained the whole system, i disconnect right from behind my pump..and let the pump empty the system.

Hey shock, I thought of doing that too.  But I didn't want to lug it around, even though it is portable.  I already have just about my whole garage in my basement computer lab as it is now.

John has the right idea.  I have each component with a 2-3' long "pigtail" where I make all connections outside the case so you can easily pluck & chuck video cards.

Heard good things about it nate.  Supposed to be the best.  A lot of PC manufacturer's charge a premium to put that stuff on.
