Did you set the extreme cooling in the bios or set the jumper?

I personally haven't ever used that jumper.  Does that allow the board to not bug below -50°C?

With the 45nm 1366 chips, the CBB is quite high, the motherboard usually doesnt become a factor. I never used the X-Cool jumper and never had a problem cold booting.

The Extreme cooling options in the BIOS just mess with the CPU PPL voltages, maybe some other things. Thats all it does to my knowledge.

Yes, When I had my phase it would have a problem if I had to clear the cmos. The jumper allowed me to boot even with a default bios.

anyone notice that the new eleet tuning utility isn't working right?
meaning that it wont take the voltage above 1.599... or is it just me.

I believe I DL the most current version 3 weeks ago when I got the 980x, and it shows two additional drop downs below the one that goes to 1.6.  If memory serves correct I think you can use the additional drop downs to add another .4 (.2 +.2), for a total of at least 2.0 vcore.  I'm not there to look right now.

mine doesn't change. when i went back to the older version. the one before this one..voltage works and changes fine from all 3 places.
