Rudster, look at it this way. At least you have a D0..

Not ALL D0's are better than all C0's. What voltage do you need for 4ghz stable on your C0? I need around 1.35v on my D0 for 4ghz stable.

I need about 1.45Vcore for 4Ghz, and a little over 1.5V for 4.1-4.2. Which is why I think it'll do better on water.

Oh wow. Ok. I thought your C0 was better than that (like around my D0). Nvm about that.

MHm... I wanna try it on DICE or water. I think that'll improve it a lot since it'll bring the temps WAY down.

regardless of whether or not rud went back to an XP install, 01 plain and simple isnt worth running on anything but a wolfdale, even running lower clock speeds and on a much weaker card I can outscore rud

Yeah rudster wolfdale is the only way to run 01.  I can score just shy of 100k with a single 5770 and an e8600.  This benchmark just doesn't play well with anything else.

Question.  I plasti-dipped the back of the mobo...can I cover the back of the cpu socket area with plasti-dip?

every single thing.  the thicker you put it on, the easier it comes off.

Ok thanks nate.  One more question about plasti-dipping the GPU's.  Do I plasti-dip over the warranty stickers and bios stickers?  I wouldn't think so...or there goes my warranty.

Put a peice of painters tape (or any low-tack tape) over the warranty stickers. I have seen people do that and the stickers be fine after plasti-dipping over them and then pulling up the plasti-dip later.

I don't know about you guys but the 480 looks better than I thought it would.
Got my replacement 980x the other day.
Though it still shows ridiculously low temps at idle and in bios (0C) this one overclocks a lot better.
Been running some benches hovering around 5.0Ghz on ambient water.
Now if I could get a video card that runs like it should.
