I see you just removed the squirrel cage fan, but that is a MONSTER air conditioner. I would guess at least 12K BTU??

I went with using my old cooler as the evaporator is bigger than it looks..haha. Anyway, I put the thermo probe in the bottom of the cooler and poured four gallons of Preston de-icer in....didn't fill it up too much, did it? I was afraid to fill more because of the toxicity of the stuff and our cats running around. I'm not sure about the seal on the "gunk" I used around the pipes going into the cooler.





Here we are at 10 minutes





And here is 20 minutes




And here is 32 minutes



It's now at -32.4C after about 45 minutes.

Is this good? Could be higher maybe if I insulate the lines and fill it up more...Any suggestions on how to fill up the big hole I had to make in the cooler?

Its a 12k BTU unit, it should do fine

-32c is crazy good. I want to make a chiller so badly.....ahhhh......
