Been busy with these micro blocks.  I can't even begin to tell you what goes into these things.

How a MAN handles large pieces of dry ice

http://i175.photobucket.c...r816/DICE/IMG_1433.jpg

You BOTH fail.  You and halo.  Use your bare hands, then you can say how a man uses dice.
At least your not using Rainbow gloves  *COUGH* halo *COUGH*

(kudo's for going the "safe route" and not using your hands, but I have rougher hands then u both -so I go free style and use my hands.  Hasn't killed me yet)

I shoveled the small pieces with my hands. Notice how I said large pieces Basically the only time I used gloves was when moving the two large blocks I had.

Im thinking next time about buying pellets. Its hard to chop up small pieces.

Gahhhh. All this DICE talk makes me want to do it again the right way....

Anyone have any experience with this board  GIGABYTE GA-X58A-UD7 LGA 1366 ?  Edit: I meant this one

@walleye: The UD7 is supposed to be really good. But there is word on the street that a UD9 is coming out. Gigabyte used the UD9 to break the PCMark Vantage WR.

@Nate: That micro block is lookin' mighty fine! Also, what are the dimensions of the mounting holes for s775 and s1366? I am thinking of designing and making my own cpu pot(s). Also, what would the best way be to connect an aluminum tube and a copper base?

@Rud: Nice job with the DICE. I don't have the cajones to use it on my main rig (i7+Classy), at least not yet. How was condensation for you? Also, i am jealous of that pot. It has way more capacity than mine. But like i said, i have been tinkering with the idea of making my own pot(s).

There was condensation on the bottom of the pot, but that isnt anything to be concerned about since its frozen. Also, the eraser would have protected the actual motherboard. I used a lot less Eraser\Neoprene than you did, you shouldnt have ran in to a condensation issue. Its going to form, but rather or not it hurts your motherboard comes down to your prep work.

Dont be jealous. That DICE run was on whim. But I had to do it yesterday because a video Im doing for school needs a clip of me actual running DICE. I'll do a much better job when I do it again.

I still picked up like ~20 HWbot points for my submissions though. Didnt even run 32m Spi\1024m Wprime or PiFast.

Just saw a guy on the food network tonight use dry ice to make ice cream.  To get it in really small pieces, all he did was wrap it in a towel and hit it with a hammer.  Food for thought

Don't waste your money on buying pellets if they cost a good bit more. I bought scrap chunks cause it was $.45/lb, compared to $.87/lb for rice pellets. I just smashed up the chunks in a big plastic bowl and it worked perfectly fine.

I brought my cooler to the DICE guy, and he filled it up for $20 by just throwing the scrap chunks in it.  I broke up the large pieces by just picking them up, and slamming them down on the other pieces.
