930s a good chip for people who dont have a 920. They are almost exactly the same. Can't really take advantage of the extra multi.

is it a good over clocker though?

Its the exact same thing as the 920, just with an extra multi.

You do realize than "SS" stand for single stage right. I would like to see sdumper try to build a 3 stage SS

A 3 stage Cascade would be so nice to have. Properly tuned you can the evap down to -100c and you dont need to constantly refill LN2, would ne noiiiceee.

Its no better than a 920 if not a little worse, that was just my brief experience though. I wouldnt bother with it. That being said sniper had some decent results on dice.

that 3 stage ss
actually...no, i didn't..just that it stood for anyone running phase. but the 3 in there should have help clarify things.

and since sdumper is suppose to be one of the best..im sure it will be doing it's job.
and i think you better go read over here first before brushing it off as fantasy...

side note:
for those who think they cant build a water chiller...
here is a 13 year old kid building his own from scratch...

i was trying to figure out where my 920 stood up against it, since it was a 3900 batch. nowhere near as good as my 3800 batch.

@jon if your not sure what your benching at nowadays but if its still in the ball park of 4.7 then buying a 930 will be just like taking a chance on another 920

ARE YOU NUTS that was a great post but that kid is a prodigy by every sense of the word. Not one time did I say to myself I can do this if he can.

thanks reggie....because my 920 was acting like it didn't want to pull the same numbers as my first one. and i was debating on getting a 930 as a backup and the 980x as a main one.

i was like damn. and he just jumped in like it was nothing.... brazing away. changing parts for better ones. while they we're trying to be funny at first, but he never lost sight of his goal. i was thinking he should have changed it to phase. i think he will be a great builder if he sticks with it.
