I washed out my 2nd chiller just now. It was not pretty.
Lessons learned:
1.) Use Algae stuff.
2.) Do not use ONLY water (albeit it best for thermal transfer, you should mix it with anti-corrosion mix AND algae stuff)
3.) If your reservoir is made of clear plastic, do NOT put it in the sun (or see rules 1 & 2.)
4.) If you put nothing but plain water in a clear chiller and put it in the window, where
sunlight will get to it to breed life (and erode the evaporator) again see rules 1, 2, & 3.
5.) Install a removable shower head so you can clean your chiller in the bathtub instead of freezing outside.
