Nate got the same thermocouple thermometer as me, and i'm pretty sure he went to a local Grainger too. I remember recommending it to him in a link to Grainger's website. They are actually a huge company. They are like Nvidia is to EVGA. The sell stuff to places like Lowe's...

Not sure if the bottom piece will allow me to have enough mounting tension or not. Seems to be enough though.

the card itself is not that hot at 720/1584/1350 i see about 67c in vantage with 100% fan but anything over that it will lock up.... i need to dropthe temps alot more to get over the shader wall i think but will try it and see what happens

you may not have enough voltage. and what card is that with them clocks??

hellshealer

hey john what temps are you seeing with your 5870 on air and what are you room temps?

sorry, im not at room temp on my 5870. i have fans blowing on it to keep it cool...

my card is a GTX 285 rev 1.1.... the only way to increase the power is with a hard mod and im looking into that too.

with the 5870 even with the fans on it what are your room temps and card temps? lol ill try and replicate that when i start testing mine :)

Nice Rudster!! That looks awesome.. You should put a little DICE in just for fun, then lick the bottom of the pot.

Oh, so today I experimented. I figured, what the hell, it's not cool enough to run GPU benches, so I figured I'd find out what my RAM can do on 9-9-9-27 timings with stock voltage.

So I'll be running 1866Mhz 24/7 now.
