Just paid a guy for an XFX 5870. $345 shipped

Nevermind. Guy said somebody else paid 2min before I did.........I just paid Gunslinger for one of his cards (no waterblock)

a house fan... or one of those 4" high powered fans for like 8 bucks


+1 on the house fan.  Works not only on the GPU, but the circulation cools those passively cooled mofsets/nb/sb components, enabling higher cpu frequencies.

hey do you guys know anywhere I can get closed celled foam besides online would like to insulate my board this weekend before I am too busy

the card itself is not that hot at 720/1584/1350 i see about 67c in vantage with 100% fan but anything over that it will lock up.... i need to dropthe temps alot more to get over the shader wall i think but will try it and see what happens

you may not have enough voltage. and what card is that with them clocks??

I got mine from Grainger, same place i got my digital thermocouple thermometer. I got 3ft x 4ft x 1/2in thick for around $25. But at my local Grainger, you need to be a business/have a business account with them.(or you can use a friend's or relative's business's account). Luckily my aunt works for Grainger's biggest partner, so i got some nice discounts.

damn...i didn't know that...i have  grainer around here...was trying to buy something from them but they didn't have it..dont remember them asking about accounts though....but that was quite some time ago.

will be over there i think tomorrow to see what they have..
