i see no voltage in afterburner...that's my problem.

dont need to hard mod it.. im using the same exact card. or at least i think i am. (xfx hd 5870 bought at frys electronics)
and my voltage shows 1.350 Max

It has nothing to do with the card it has to do voltera regulators that q mentioned. People are having trouble changing the voltage on the cards without them.

Very possible. You both have the version with the fan in the middle of the card correct? Not the reference one with the fan at the end?
