Do you have any intel stock heatsinks laying around? I've seen people use those for ghetto modded gpu cooling(on older cards with a small core), and they actually worked pretty well.

Yeah that's what I did. It worked reasonably well. Dropped my temps a bunch, but when I tried to run 01, it would do like 40-50 fps for the first few seconds, then go black. The whole time for the rest of the test. So I said screw it. I'ma work on Vantage.

*Shudders with frustration*

I can run 695/linked/1140 24/7 on stock voltage.. But it takes 1175mV to run 738/linked/1240.. lol. I can't wait to get off air.

If you have a regular waterblock... on ambient water... you did not get it colder.  You are above ambient.

What if I have a cooler full of ice attached to the loop?

That is acceptable ;)

The chiller hangs outside the window, but when snow gets inside it (remember people dont usually turn on AC's in the winter) the fan was stuck in place from the ice.

modrigs is starting to become a joke. glad i got my placeholder way back when..
how can someone get a number one with no evga parts???

This isn't the first time he's done that....I don't know why he insists on posting his ati cards on a nvidia ranking.  I personally wouldn't have a problem if it was a non-evga nvidia card, but ati......come on!

Wait a minute, it may not be his fault....in the past, modsrigs would not post a score unless it had a gpu description of "evga".  Usually they slip by when another evga gpu is listed, but is not used for the run.  That's not the case here....he has no evga parts, so the modsrigs algorithm is faulty.
