Sounds pretty hot. Trust me unless you are going for a cpuiz max overclock I would not go any higher untill you can get it colder. I break alot of things and learn stuff the hard way, cpu gets a little warmer during a vantage run than a p95 blend test will get it. As far as your cpu goes maybe you have reached your limit. 4.6 is fine to bench with if your stable just work on your gpu clocks for the moment.

hehe uber post

the 80c isn't with blend it is with large fft's, i don't think that i have reached the limit it's just that i can't boot any higher than 220 right now and i have yet to mess with eleet. as for getting my temps better i hope that the new radiator will take care of that problem and the colder temps at night this weekend will help also.

Having a bit of a problem with 3DMark03 right now. I ran the patch they have for it at FutureMark  and now it doesn't  want to let me make any uploads Public. My copy is registered.

Oh well that changes everything 80 at with large fft is pretty good. I would try messing with the pcie speed. I really wish I could help more but I can only get to 223 and bench at 221, ive had a few lucky boots past that but nothing steady. So good luck but it sounds like your on the right track just keep tweaking.

Well, Monkey, I think your stuck.  I had this exact same problem pre & post patch.  It's the CPU itself.....system info won't read my 920, but when I drop my 960 in, it reads that fine.  I can make my 960 public, but not my 920.  There is a FAQ on futuremark's site regarding this....but they don't give any answer other than your hosed.

If you're not in the top 20, you don't need the FM link anyway.  Just be sure to take good screen shots with as much info as possible as to never be questioned.

BTW, everyone, if you load all the new FM patches, you won't be able to submit an old saved score run on the pre-patch version.  You'll have to uninstall and reinstall the old version.  (Hopefully everyone saves their old FM installer package files).

I also recommend the patches, as the benches load much, much faster.  Ever feel like punching JN waiting for 'er to load?  not anymore.  And on 3dm05, you don't have to wait an eon for the score to pop up.

Been using W3520 with no problem. Been letting  me make public for a long time. Not till I installed patch did it go to hell. I ran the patch for all releases but 03 is only one that's screwed up.

Use revo uninstaller to get rid of it and all of it's registry entries, then reinstall. It is highly improbably that it actually affected the cpu.
