Hey, would any of you guys mind posting a bios template for 4ghz on the 920? I don't feel like figuring everything out on my i7 right now (nor do i have the time currently), but i want to bench it.

Also, what are your guys's stock vcores?

That's just being lazy really. Trying to take the easy way out. Kinda like your so called offer for that 805 I'm trying to sell. You would have had to figure out how best to clock it to wouldn't you? Oh, you would have asked for the settings here no doubt. Fellow Get it Colder Buddy! Right. Do the work yourself guy.

Fine! I just don't have much time, so i thought i'd ask here... But in the long run, i know you'll be right, especially with the i7 experience i'll get. Now that i think about, i feel kinda bad asking for a template. Thanks for straightening me out.

The 805 i wouldn't ask for settings. I consider myself fairly proficient w/ s775. And anyways, if it was under DICE, i would pour voltage into it.

How 'bout some guidance than? I'm a total i7 nub. I know vcore stuff, but what about other stuff? Specifically vtt? I know the wrong setting on that can kill your chip fast. (if it is too high of course)

What would be a good vtt limit? Remember i'm on air, not phase like you. lol

You won't kill anything...start at 1.2vvt (stock). You will get bsod's 124 & 101.  One is supposed to mean vcore, the other vvt.  I think they mean either/or TBO.  At least that's what I found out testing my third i7 series chip (960).  101 is "supposed" to mean vcore, 124 is "supposed" to mean vvt.  Then the meanings flipped when the D0's came out.  I don't believe any of it anymore....I think 124 or 101 means voltage...whether it be core or uncore, you have to figure it out.  I've never found a limit for vvt....on my 920 all it took was +200 (or 1.2+200=1.4 in BIOS/eleet).  With my 960 it's at +425.

You really have to play around....it took me two days (and I'm not kidding).  Yes, two 8 hour sessions to fine tune.  And I'm still not ready to do a suicide run on vantage.  Just put your head down, take good notes, and maybe by this weekend you'll be benching...strong!

For my 24/7 overclock I run everything stock (including VTT) expect my Vcore at 1.25v and Vdroop disabled. This is 99% stable at 4ghz. I got one error in Prime blend after an hour, but for what I do in everyday use, game, encode movies etc, its stable enough. If I ever crash doing anything Ill raise the Vcore two notches.

Ram is at 2:8 with stock timings, Bclk 191.

Finally got my last two orders placed. Ordered the pump last night and the fans\controller 10min ago. Down to playing a waiting game.

EDIT:

Holy crap, my USPS tracking says my rad should be here Not sure if they left a slip in my mail box or not, too lazy to go to our mailbox (1/2mi), my dad should be home with the mail in a matter of minutes.
