I am thinking of trying out Rivatuner on my laptop.  If I can juice up the video card, maybe something will come of it


Depends.  Some you can OC with software, others, like my old xps 1710, you have to flash the bios with OC's.

from what i read...you could with the 3800 series...i haven't seen anyone doing that on the 5800/5900 series, but then i haven't really looked to deep into it.

going to check and see though.

edit:
no physx on the card itself..you have to add a physx card.
