one 5970 and two fermi cards when they come out the ones with dual gpus.

im curious if they will release the entire fermi line at once.  Or hold back their top card. for later on.

i want to bench multiple test and qualify and for that to happen...i have to have ati and nvidia cards. i need to catch up and im way behind on that stuff..with that card..ill be able to hella jump up in the ranks of 3dmark 01 to 06 and now vantage. all without a water block, which means i can now..get my cpu colder.

yeah, we talked about that about a month ago i think...it was better for dice while kingpin was better for ln2 (benching on a budget..lol)

A Fermi will defiantly be in my future.  I just don't want to buy the top card, and then it be out of date when they release a better card. 

I already set some cash aside for it.  I will also make a waterblock for it.  Its half the fun. 

But I was referring to making one for the CPU. 

we did that with the 295's...lol
and 4 5870s are now trying to scream past us...then here comes the 5970 which is already at the top of the single card list...all without a water block. gpu scores are about 28,000 or 3 to 4 fps faster than the 295's with water block...

im deff getting the fermi, but i also want to experiment with ati again. so im going to roll both cards next year.

I hate selling cards, I like to have them "just in case" but to get 2 fermi's... eh... thats going to cost a TON!
