or just put that stuff on a usb flash drive and flash it that way.

dont flash the card without making a bootable usb with your old bios on it. I know a 8500 is no big deal to lose but still. Usb sticks are like ten bucks now ill tell you how to make it bootable real easy. If you decide not to listen heres how to do it in windows. Download gpuid(im sure you have it) Download most recent Nibitor, download most recent nvflash. Save your bios with gpuid. Open saved bios file with nibitor and thats where you edit your bios. Save the edited bios to a rom file. Then just drag the .rom file and drop it in the nvflash.exe. Then restart your computer. The only reason you really need to flash a card with a bootable device. Is to change the actual brand of the bios. Like evga to bfg or something like that.

Pretty sure that 9.12 are the latest whql drivers

not sure what the problem is but I cant run aquamark on my computer can someone help me out.

cool in hindsite I guess its not that big of a deal to flash via windows as long as you have another card to fix it with if something goes wrong. Its actually pretty easy to fix. I learned alot about flashing cards while trying to fix my poor poor 280

I just don't understand why rivatuner does not work.  I slide the sliders, and click apply, and when i load GPU-Z the settings did not stick.  Only Precision works. 

Do you have the latest version of precision if not that should bring the clocks up to 1000 core
