Is there a step-by-step for that?  I heard you can just change the values of Rivatuner to have higher max clocks, but I forget where to do that.  I read it somewhere a few days ago, and I wish I saved the link!  grr!

hummm... i used nibitor to changes some things on a 9800 gt

but that rivatuner things sounds like the bet if you can find the info.

I could be wrong but rivatuners sliders are most likely the same as evga's they are set in the bios you need to either set the values manually or flash a superclocked bios onto the card. Make sure you have the most recent precision. I gotta pass out but recently when my cpu fails a test Ive been getting a grey screen similar to when the gpu freezes not really sure what to make of it. The grey screen is a known bug in the catalyst 9.12 drivers that was fixed in 10.1, but 10.1 drivers are not whql ?????????

I got the clocks to be able to slide much higher, but they won't apply.  Checking with GPU-Z and the clocks stay stock.

XP only...no vista or Win 7

you can run it, but you need to download some patch or dll file to make it work...

Where you get all those whacky vid cards from, John. You buy 'em, or get them from others?

(John proceeds to bench the hell out of the card, screens freeze hundreds of times, settings maxed, flashes vid bios.....vid ram fries)
John:  Here's you card back...it doesn't run right...i get all these funny colors & patterns...you better rma it if you still can.

nah, is not going over board with these cards and i work in the computer field..just never thought about benching all this stuff untill like the last few months...hahaha
