Huh. Well it won't let me run AWDflash.. It says it's incompatible with Vista 64.. Now what? I can't flash the bios without that.

VISTA?!?!  GET RID OF IT!!!
Gents, I am checking in for an evening of benching.  I get the night watch so I will be up all evening probably way into the early hours.
Red light is too much voltage.  the tests lock up and the screen freezes when not enough voltage.

Hehehehe. Waiting for the 47k!

Dude, wait nothing!!  I went from a 44,007K, to a 46.3K with win 7.

My stock SLI score with Vista was about 20K, same stock settings 30K.  did I mention STOCK score?  10,000 point increase just with the OS.  DITCH VISTA!   I still got a few points to go for that 47K, but lord knows I am not giving up.

Playing around with lots of RAM combos.  the 800/link/1200 test finally got 45K.  But not on 1188mV.

I really, REALLY want to go to Win 7. Not sure if I should get a 60GB SSD or a 1Tb Caviar black though..

get both if you don't already have a good side drive.

nope. good idea.
1: ssd's boot 10 times faster than regular drives. (when we have to reboot 50 times or more in a day)
2: regular drive for store of files and images..
3: as nate said..ditch vista anything and move to windows 7
4: use win 7 backup to image your drive after factory install + vantage/06/wprime/prime95/linx/cpuz/gpuz/eleet/percision/superpi/real temp/core temp/volt tuner

I bought SSD, didn't really help.  Still haven't topped my 46.3K score even with same settings.  I would get the SSD just because how much faster all programs load.  But with whatever you choose for a benching drive, make a small 5 gig partition, and put all executable files such as drivers, futuremark, precision, volt tuner *ahem* patches.

not sure who said it helped with benching or gaming, but it will load them hella faster (and we all know how long jane nash takes to load--haha).(which it doesn't) it's only to load programs and os faster. load and move files around faster and do reinstalls or re images faster.

I might just go with a VelociRaptor or a Caviar black.. SSDs are so expensive for so little space.
