I'm back!!!!!   Just fired 'er back up with the PSU I have in my wife's office computer.  mobo, both vid cards, HDD's...all fine.  Thank you Jesus!

It was the main PSU that let go.....it must have been on it's last leg for awhile now.  That's why the gpus red lighted all the time.  They started to do it again tonight and shortly therafter...POPPPPP!

This little 750w PC Power & cooling PSU is handling everything fine.  It even has 2 eight pin pci-e connectors.   I'm not gonna push it though.  Gotta get up in 3.5 hrs...see ya!

wow Q, you dodged a bullet!  You bought your wife a PC P&C??  what a good husband you are.  I wouldn't DREAM of it.  But glad to know IF my PC P&C 1200 fails, my PC P&C 800W will hold me down until repairs are complete.

Yea, nate, my wife has the PC P&C.  But I don't consider it hers....everything electronic in my house, I consider to be mine..all mine

Any recommendations on a new PSU?  I'm thinking PC P&S, but which one?  I think you guys had a discussion on this a few pages back..I'll go look.

Teach you how to get to 229?  I can't really do anything in 229 without 'extraordinary' cooling methods. 
 
if you got the 500, then get the 1200W PC P&C.  You may not need all that power now... but sometime in the next 7 years (their warranty) you just may
