Well, After Much Researching/Buying Parts and working on trying to build an Enclosed Case Water Cooled System that I haven't Done in YEARS, I think it's Finally beginning to take Shape.

Now I remember Why I like to use an "Open Air" Benching Table Setup, It is SO Easy to arrange components without confinement limitations.

Regardless of That, I am making some headway into changing my Secondary Computer over from Air Cooling to Water Cooling, But it's going pretty Slow. Still have to decide what Pump/Reservoir Combination to Purchase/install.

HECK YEAH! My X58A-OC is alive!
I reflowed the BGA solder connections for the NB and it works now. Though the 4GHz button seems to be stuck on, I'll have to diagnose that.

Great to Hear it's working again!
That stuck 4G OC button probably just needs a spray of contact cleaner.

It can't be dissembled though which is a bit of a pain for cleaning. I tried spraying some high quality brake cleaner into it, hopefully it fixes it. It doesn't work for Westmere chips anyway AFAIK so it's not a big problem.

Halo_003
Glad to see the board works again!

I received an X5670 from ebay this week, got it for $60 which isn't bad at all. I'm going to be selling my X79 stuff and drop to X58 for the next year or two, mainly just for fun. The GTX 285 is just for testing, ultimately what I'm planning to do is get a 980Ti, 3x8GB DDR3, an Open Bench Table, and perhaps a PCIe SSD to cut down on my current 4 SSDs. I figure the OC board has USB 3 and SATA 3, so it would be little difference to go from X79 to it.
